Carmen has always wanted a career in which she could be helpful to others. After graduating from the Certified Dental Assisting program at Okanakan University College in 2001, she began working with Dr. Hansford. Carmen loves seeing people happy about their smile and knowing they are at ease in our dental office. Kamloops has always been home to Carmen and when she is not at work she enjoys spending time with her family, friends and pets. She is now enjoying married life and owning a home in Barnhartvale. Some of her free time is spent doing yoga, photography and fishing with her husband.

Carmen has extensive experience and training in all aspects of Cosmetic and Implant Dentistry.
Attending Leadership in Dentistry and Dental Boot Kamp programs in Seattle and Las Vegas has enabled Carmen to provide top notch customer service.
She attended the International Synmposium on Sedation in Dentistry in Vancouver and daily provides comfortable sedation services to her clients.
Carmen has taken Cerec training in Calgary and on DVD and online. She is certainly one of the most experienced Cerec users in BC, having designed over 1000 restorations for our clients.
She participated in two implant mentorship programs, both clinical and didactic in Vancovuer. She studied implant practice management at the Pacific Implant Institute and is a member of the Association of Dental Implant Auxiliaries. She attended the International Congress of Oral Implantologists winter symosium in Las Vegas and recieved her Practice Management Implant Certification.
She has studied Dr. Kois' restorative protocols through Creating Resorative Excellence online learning and attended Treatment Planning 1 with Dr. Hansford.
Carmen has studied to provide Lumineers and Invisalign in Vancouver.
Carmen won a photography award at the Pacific Dental Conference, the largest dental conference in Western Canada.
