Does the All-on-4 procedure really take just one day?
Yes. You will leave our office on the day of the procedure with fixed teeth and can eat whatever you like. We like to see you back in the office once or twice for a quick check to make sure thing are going smoothly and then another appointment is needed approximately six months later to receive your final set of permanent teeth.
Do you perform bone grafting and will I need bone grafting?
Yes, Dr. Hansford offers bone grafting procedures for traditional implant options when necessary. However, bone grafting is rarely needed with the All-on-4 procedure because of the innovative way the implants are placed.
How much do implants cost?
The cost of treatment varies significantly with the solution provided. Replacing all of your upper or lower teeth with All-on-4 Permanent Teeth in a Day is more cost effective than traditional implant solutions requiring six to ten implants because you can receive a full set of teeth on only four implants. Fewer implants means reduced cost. Because we understand that price is a factor in your decision to proceed, during your consultation we'll present you with an assortment of dental implant options. All fees are explained in advance. You'll be given a written quote that includes all aspects of your treatment.
Are dental implants covered by insurance?
Some insurance companies offer partial reimbursement. It's best to speak directly with your insurance provider. The cost of implants is a medical expense that can be deducted from your income tax, making it possible to recoup some of your investment. If you own a business, there are additional possible tax advantages which you should discuss with your accountant.
Does getting dental implants hurt?
We provide sedation for your absolute comfort. Dr. Hansford is one of the only dentists who are specially trained and certified to provide both oral and iv sedation. We've sedated over 2000 patients and they tell us that they love it.
How long does it take to recover from implant surgery?
Our patients typically report far less discomfort and a quicker healing time than they expected. Pain relievers are usually required for two or three days following the procedure and after that patients are typically pain-free. Most of our patients eat solid food on the day of surgery. You will be eating, laughing, smiling and enjoying life as if you just grew a brand new set of natural teeth.
