Professional Distinctions

Dr. Hansford received his Doctorate in Medicinal Dentistry at the University of British Columbia in 1998. Since then, he has regularly attended continuing education courses in both advanced clinical skills and providing superior client care. Dr. Hansford is particularly interested in cosmetic, implant and sedation dentistry and has pursued numerous advanced qualifications in these fields:

• He is a graduate from the Masters Program of the Pacific Implant Institute in Vancovuer, BC, and the Comprehensive Implant Training and Bone Grafting residencies in London, Ontario. 
• Dr. Hansford has been named a Fellow by the International Congress of Oral Implantology.
• He graduated from the UCLA School of Dentistry Aesthetic Continuum with some of the best cosmetic dentists in the world and is a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.
• Dr. Hansford has been named a Fellow by the Academy of General Dentistry.

Dr. Hansford is also an excellent restorative dentist:

• The Kois Centre in Seattle named him a “Distinguished Mentor”, one of only fourteen in Canada. He was also a mentor at Creating Restorative Excellence.  As a Mentor, Dr. Hansford attends the Kois Centre several times a year to help instruct other dentists on advanced restorative dentistry techniques.

Personal Interests

When he's not doing dentistry, Dr. Hansford enjoys spending time with wife, Shannon and his two sons Elliot and Davis. Skiing, snowshoeing, running and travelling together are among his favourite activities. Dr. Hansford looks forward to sharing some of his travel experiences with you the next time you’re in the office looking up at the ceiling!
