Sedation Dentistry by Dr. Hansford

Working With You to Treat Your Patients

We Appreciate Your Referrals

We know the obstacles that you and your patients face with referrals, so we’ve made the process simple and satisfying. Consider referring your patients to our office if they suffer from:

  • Dental anxiety
  • A hyperactive gag reflex
  • The inability to receive profound local anaesthesia

Sedation dentistry at our office is also appropriate for patients who need a large amount of dental work completed in as few visits as possible.

How to Refer

Have your patient contact us directly by telephone or webpage www.smilekamloops.com

Or... give us the patient's contact information and we'll take it from there.

If you desire a progress report or have specific treatment objectives, please make that known in an email or direct call to Dr. Hansford's cell (250)-574-0363.

Otherwise treatment will be rendered and the patient will be returned to your continuing care.

What We Do
A great number of people find the prospect of a dental visit very stressful. Anxious patients can cause stress at your busy office, too, slowing down procedures or perhaps even failing to show up for an appointment. Dr. Hansford can treat these patients effectively using IV sedation.

All following procedures can be completed under IV sedation:

                     Restorative/Reconstructive Dentistry

                     Cosmetic Dentistry

Immediate Dentures and Implant Retained Dentures

                     Wisdom Tooth Surgery

Implant Surgery (no advanced grafting required)

                     Combination Restorative/Surgery

When you Refer
We will most likely see your patients within a week for consultation, treatment plan, consent and treatment of emergent conditions. The patient will dictate the scope of treatment accepted and that treatment will be rendered.  Typically, patients will undergo treatment within one to two weeks. Returning healthier patients to your care as soon as possible is our goal.

Who is Referred

We treat generally healthy high school, adult and senior patients.
