Dr. Hansford received his Doctorate in Medical Dentistry at the University of British Columbia and has been actively involved in advancing clinical skills in dentistry and providing superior client care. Dr. Hansford is particularly interested in cosmetic, implant and sedation dentistry and has pursued numerous advanced qualifications in these fields.

Dr. Hansford chose dentistry knowing it would give him a special place in the community, and the experience has turned out to be even greater than he imagined. He finds deep joy in helping people, and every effort he puts into improving patient comfort and results feels worthwhile. He is grateful every day that he chose this profession.

Nearly Three Decades of Experience

Dr. Hansford has been practicing since 1998. Over the years, he has had the privilege of becoming part of many Kamloops families' lives, and those relationships mean the world to him. Patients he has known for decades and patients he has just met are equally important to him.

Relaxed, Comfortable Care With Sedation

Dr. Hansford has offered sedation dentistry for 25 years and has treated more than 10,000 sedation cases. His patients tell him they love it. Sedation opens the door to care for many people and makes a wide range of procedures feel easy and relaxing. Seeing patients receive the treatment they need in total comfort is one of the most rewarding parts of his work.

Areas of Focus

As a general dentist, Dr. Hansford cares for the whole smile. His greatest interests are comprehensive cosmetic dentistry and replacing missing teeth with dental implants, and he has devoted many years to advancing his skills in both. He has also designed and created crowns in-house with computer technology for 25 years, giving patients precise, beautiful results.

What He Enjoys Most

Dr. Hansford loves the attention to detail that dentistry requires. He enjoys working with his hands, and he especially enjoys getting to know his patients and helping them find the best path forward for their oral health.
